Starting a cacao farm doesn’t need a lot of money. If you integrate cacao on a coconut farm, it will cost you around ₱30,000/hectare each year until the trees start producing. The good news is that, in approximately three years, you can already start harvesting from cacao trees grown from seeds, which is quicker than many other fruit trees. By the fourth year, you could be making a net income of about ₱100,000/hectare, mostly from selling dried beans.
